Velma Darlene (Mudgett) Tuck, 81, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at her home in Aberdeen with her family lovingly by her side.
Born on May 29, 1943, in Vancouver, Washington to Lawrence and Beatrice (Davis) Mudgett. Velma was the 9th of 10 children. She met the love of her life, Michael C. Tuck, where shortly after graduating, the couple married on June 9, 1962, in Hoquiam. Throughout their marriage, they had 3 daughters and spent most of their lives in Grays Harbor.
Velma has been reunited in heaven with her husband of 61 years, Michael Tuck; her parents; brothers: Walt, Clyde, and Roland; and sisters: Dorothy Martinez and Nadine Turner.
She leaves behind her daughters: Penny (Ray) Richmond, of Aberdeen, Peggy (Jim) Coon, of Ocean Shores; and Patsy (John) Thompson, of Olympia; brothers: Wayne (Joan) and Charles Mudgett both of Aberdeen; sisters: Aileen Gillespie, of Vancouver, and Ruthie (Joe) Bergeron, of Madeville, Louisiana; 7 grandchildren: Christopher (Mary) Stacie, Jolene (Nathan) Stacie, Stephanie Hahn, Brittany lane, Melanie Larson, Shaughn (Emily) Tuck, and Clifford (Carly) Tuck; 5 step-grandchildren: Jamey, Shane, and Ashley Coon, Alexa Montoure, and Monica Richmond; and 16 great-grandchildren: Morgan, Hailee, Payton, Aiden, Bailey, Bryson, Nevaeh, Mayla, Denali, Serena, Stella, Jayce, Dakota, Kayden, Kaylin, and Tyler.
She will be truly missed and cherished each day, until we all meet again. A celebration of Velma’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM held at the South Aberdeen Baptist Church, 620 Fordney Street.
