Neila Lillian Young Teagle, a long-time resident of Grays Harbor County, passed away on September 4th, leaving behind a rich legacy of family, community, and unconditional love. Born in Cosmopolis, on December 20, 1935, Neila’s life was deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest, where she spent decades building a beautiful home and family.

For 65 years, Neila shared a wonderful life filled with adventure, hard work, and devotion alongside her beloved husband Paul Teagle, who preceded her in death in 2020. Paul and Neila shared a deep devotion to their faith, serving together in numerous callings within their church, including dedicated service in Many Farms on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona.

Together, they raised a beautiful and bustling family, creating a warm household that expanded across decades to include multiple generations. She was the true matriarch of the Teagle family. Her patience, warmth, and enduring kindness served as the cornerstone of her family’s life. Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted children: Cheryle Teagle (Montesano, WA), Kelsey (Sherry) Teagle, of Rexburg, ID, Matthew (Elizabeth) Teagle, of Gillette, WY and Chehalis, WA), Guy (Carrie) Teagle, of Cedar City, UT and Delores (Mark) Richardson, of Tremonton, UT.

Neila also leaves behind an incredible legacy of 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, all of whom grew up enveloped in her love, guidance, and stories. She is also remembered fondly by her brother-in-law Ed Teagle, of Hoquiam, and sister-in-law Lillian Petrie, of Sparks, NV, and a vast network of close friends.

She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the family she so carefully nurtured and the beautiful Grays Harbor communities she called home.
