Leolynn Marie DuVal, 70, former Aberdeen resident and log truck driver, died Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, Washington.
Leolynn was born on November 29, 1955, in Aberdeen to Leo DuVal and Genevieve Arquette. She grew up in Aberdeen and then to Oakville where she graduated from Oakville High School in 1973. She later moved to Alaska where she drove truck. She was a woman of many moves which included much of Eastern and Western Washington and then settled in Chehalis, Washington.
Leolynn became an instructor for Cascade Truck Driving School and retired in 2016. She enjoyed gardening, plants, DIY projects and had built many homes. She especially enjoyed her time with family.
Leolynn is survived by three sons: Jeremy Brookings of Juneau, Alaska, Joshua DuVal of Vancouver, Washington and Edmond Ferry II of Chehalis, Washington; One daughter Edna Simpson of Aberdeen; Three brothers: Lewis Arquette, Daniel Randle and Cory Randall; two sisters Terry Porter and Teena Butterfield; 32 grandchildren and 3 Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Les Strangberg and Leonard Arquette; mother Genevieve Randall and two fathers: Leo DuVal and Willis Randall.
There will be a time of visitation and viewing on March 26th from 9 AM to Noon at Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington. A graveside service will follow at 1 PM in Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen, Washington.
