Jeffrey “Jeff” Lynn Calica, 71 and lifetime Grays Harbor resident passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at his Aberdeen Home.
Jeff was born and raised in Aberdeen Washington. He served in the Marines from 1972 – 1974, serving as an MP, who was known for being an expert Marksman and K9 Handler.
After leaving the service Jeff had many adventures that included exploring the Hawaiian Islands, Alaskan travels and panning for gold. Jeff was also known for his passion for art, the outdoors and the love for his children. Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking in the woods, picking wild mushrooms; always knowing the best kept secret places. Jeff was a talented Artist; drawing and painting everything that caught his eye, from beautiful sceneries to his picturesque drawings of downtown Aberdeen. Over the years; he sold many of his paintings and postcards throughout Grays Harbor County.
Jeff loved sharing his adventures with his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Jenny Calica Sr, Nora and Ed Salter, his sister Laura Calica. Jeff is survived by two daughters and one son, Stephanie Calica and Josh Padgett , Sonya Calica, Eric and Briana Calica, five grandchildren Michael, Mila, Owyn, Konnor, Grace, Chasidy, Olivia and Oliver, four brothers and one sister Greg and Pat Shields, Fred and Nancy Calica Jr., Randy and Terri Calica Sr., Darryl Calica, Lynn and Bryn Johansen, aunts, uncles, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, his beloved longtime girlfriend Margie, her daughters Amber, Misty and granddaughter Raynen and his longtime friends Lisa and Shawn Chambers.
At Jeff’s request, no services will be held. Please take a moment to share your memories or notes of condolence for the family at www.fernhillfuneral.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
