Jean Marie Birindelli

Jean Marie Birindelli, 74, resident of Elma, Washington and former homemaker passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at her Elma home.

Jean was born on May 22, 1950, in Yankton, South Dakota to parents Wilfred and Jean (Michaels) Schaefer. As a young child, Jean and her family moved to McCleary, Washington. She attended Elma High School. In January of 1971, Jean married Michael Birindelli Sr. They had 2 children: Leann and Michael Jr. After a few short years, Michael Sr. unexpectedly passed away in 1974. In 1983, the family moved to Minnesota where Jean resided until 2015, where she moved back to the Harbor, living in Elma, Washington.

Jean was a member of both the Eagles and VFW. She enjoyed being home and attending events with the Eagles and VFW. She had an attention to detail and was known for her strong opinions. Some of Jean’s favorite activities were being comfy at home, occasionally knitting, while watching her favorite TV shows. She was also a great cook.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Michael D. Birindelli Sr.; parents, Wilfred Schaefer and Jean M. Brockley; brother, Richard Schaefer; and her sister, Shirley A. Walden.

Jean is survived by her children: son, Michael D. Birindelli Jr., of Everett, WA; daughter, Leann (Tim) Frame, of New York; brother, Bill (Deb) Schaefer, of Yankton, South Dakota; sisters: Sharlene Gillies, of Montesano, Washington; Sheryl (Bob Wood) Gunderson, of Yankton, South Dakota; and Karen (Tim) Murphy, of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren: Cassandra (James) White; Micah (Laura) Thaxton; and Melissa (Will) Dellapenta; and 5 great-grandchildren. Jean is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, as well as great grandnieces and nephews
