Barbara Jo Phillips, resident of Ocean Shores, WA, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the age of 61 at Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen, WA.

Born on February 4, 1965, in Livermore, CA to Joseph Campbell and Barbara Taylor. She spent time living in California, Utah, and Tennessee where she welcomed her children: Sarah, Joseph, Sammy, Robert, and Molly. She later moved to Las Vegas, where she met her soul mate and love of her life, Wilbert Phillips, who would soon become her husband. Together, they built a beautiful life and welcomed 2 more children: Wilbert and Daniel. While raising her family, Barbara worked as a housekeeper, in the food industry, and as a manager with multiple gas station/convenience stores/ Barbara went back to her school at the age of 30 to finish her education, she received her GED and became a caregiver in assisted living facilities, a career she absolutely adored. On November 17, 2013, Wilbert Sr. unexpectedly passed away, a loss Barbara carried deeply through the years. She and her children later moved to Ocean Shores, where she remained until her passing.

Barbara had a deep love for music and could often be found listening to everything from pop favorites like P!nk and Cyndi Lauper to country legends such as Toby Keith, Randy Travis, and Alan Jackson. She especially enjoyed watching the TV show, Reba. Barbara loved cooking, spending hours watching cooking shows, experimenting with new recipes, and preparing hearty country meals and fish for those she loved. She enjoyed life to the fullest and always knew how to have a good time.

Some of Barbara’s most treasured possessions were the simple gifts from her children and grandchildren: shiny rocks, handwritten notes of adoration, weeds mistaken for beautiful flowers, and every drawing lovingly brought home to her. To Barbara, these were priceless treasures. She inspired her children to live freely, follow what made them happy and work hard to build lives that would care for them in return. She never judged, but instead encouraged her babies to be strong, independent, healthy, happy, and to always stay close to one another.

Barbara endured many hardships throughout her life, yet she remained the epitome of resilience, someone who could take life’s punches, rise after every fall, and understand that life’s experiences are how we grow and learn. Above all else, Barbara absolutely adored her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment of love, laughter, and quality time spent together.

Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Leon Campbell.

Barbara is survived by her mother, Barbara Taylor, her children: Joseph Campbell, Sammy (Faith Owens) Campbell, Robert Dredge, Wilbert (Emmie) Phillps, Daniel (Breonna) Phillips, Sarah, and Molly Campbell; and her grandchildren: Everly Phillips, Jesse Phillips, Sophia Way, and Alorah Phillips; as well as many extended family and friends who she cared deeply for.
